A bit about me
I am a first-generation horse trainer born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. Like many others, I was drawn to horses from the day I learned what they were. Fortunately, my family was able to fund my passion, and we dove into the equestrian world head first with minimal guidance. I spent my first years as a horse owner scared to lope, falling off, and making every mistake imaginable. I got into the local show circuit and learned the basics as a dressage rider, focusing on balance and biomechanics.

Once I was in high school, my ravenously competitive nature inspired me to participate in WAHSET where I tested out every discipline I could; dressage, jumping, hunt seat, saddle seat, showmanship, trail, ranch, stockmanship, sorting, roping, gaming, and drill team. In the summer, I competed in 3 days events. Every spare moment was dedicated to my horses. I worked with or for any local trainer who would let me and studied horsemen like Clinton Anderson, Warwwick Schiller, Amelia Newcomb, and others. It was during this time that I started riding outside horses, and I’ve never looked back. I rode anything I could—because I believe, to this day, that the fastest way to hone your horsemanship skills is by riding as many different horses as possible. The more horses I rode, the more my understanding grew, and my passion for the craft only deepened.
